Read the example pack before you decide; nothing is written until you hit submit. One subscription covers one business. A second business needs its own account, under its own email address, and its own subscription.
What is in it
Fourteen documents the first day. The checklist and the week's numbers after.
| When | What you get |
|---|---|
| The day you answer the questions | Fourteen documents written for your trade, your state, and your numbers. Business plan, market research, three-year financial narrative, org chart with pay ranges, launch checklist for your state, starter equipment list, a working document you keep filling in, pricing strategy with the burdened labor math done, sales process playbook, marketing playbook, Google Business Profile SOP, customer communication playbook, review request scripts, and a founders worksheet if you have a partner. |
| Every week after | The launch checklist with what is done and what is next. The week's numbers logged against your plan. The plan rewritten as your real numbers replace the estimates. Ask, a chat that answers from your own documents and cites the page. |
| When you reach them | Two more documents, written when you ask for them: the employee onboarding checklist and the operations SOP pack. |
Watch Ask answer a question from the example pack, or read every document in the catalog.
If you cancel
What you have written, you keep.
Cancel from Settings whenever you want. You keep full use to the end of the month or year you already paid for, and nothing renews after it. Every document already written stays in your account to read and download, and so do your past answers from Ask, the numbers you logged, your checklist, and your worksheet.
What stops is the work: nothing new is written, Ask takes no new questions, and the checklist, the worksheet, and the numbers can be read and not changed. Come back on the same account and it all picks up where it was.
Why it costs anything
Six professionals, six invoices.
Your other alternative is a free chat window. What a one-prompt plan leaves out is the honest comparison.
| Hired out | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Business plan writer | $1,500 to $5,000 |
| Pricing and margin consultant | $1,500 to $4,000 |
| Marketing consultant | $1,500 to $5,000 |
| Sales process consultant | $500 to $1,500 |
| Local SEO for the Google listing | $300 to $1,500 |
| Org chart consultant | $300 to $1,000 |
| Total, hired out | $5,600 to $18,000 |
Before you decide
Read a piece of every document instead of taking our word for it.
Leave an address and we will send you the example pack, so it is sitting in your inbox whenever you are ready to move.
What you are probably thinking right now.
Is this just ChatGPT with a price on it?
It is written by AI. We are not going to pretend otherwise. The difference is that a chat window is one generalist you have to direct, and this is a system of specialists that already knows the job. You answer 38 to 67 questions about your trade, your state, and your money. If you are already taking jobs, 17 to 19 of them are enough to start, and the rest can wait. Then each document is built by its own specialist: market research runs live web searches on your metro, the launch checklist pulls your state's actual agencies and links every line to their pages, the financials are calculated rather than written, and a final pass reconciles every document against the others. Years of running trade businesses went into deciding what each one asks, checks, and refuses to guess at. A blank chat window does none of that, and it starts over every time you open it. Read the samples and judge the output. The longer answer has its own page: crewplaybook.com/vs-chatgpt.
Plan software is $20 a month. Why is this $49?
Plan software rents you the workbench. You still write the plan yourself, evenings at a time, section by section. Here you answer questions for 25 minutes and the writing, the research, and the checking are done the same day. The plan is also one document out of fourteen: plan software does not produce your state's filing checklist, your burdened labor rate, or an org chart with pay ranges. After the first month the $49 goes on working. You tick off the launch checklist as each filing clears, log the week's numbers against the targets in your plan, and have the plan rewritten when your real numbers replace the estimates. Ask answers from your own documents and shows you the page. The employee onboarding checklist and the operations SOP pack are written when you ask for them. If it stops earning its keep, cancel from Settings: every document already written stays yours to read and download. If all you want is forecasting software, the $20 tool is the right buy.
What do I keep if I cancel?
Everything already written. Cancel from Settings and you keep full use to the end of the month or year you paid for, then nothing renews. After that you can still sign in, read every document, and download it, and your past answers from Ask, your logged numbers, your checklist, and your worksheet stay readable. Nothing new gets written and nothing can be changed until you come back, and coming back picks up the same account where you left it.
Will a bank or the SBA actually accept this?
The plan is built in the structure lenders expect. Executive summary, market, operations, management, then a three-year projection with the assumptions written out next to it. Nobody can promise you an approval and anyone who does is selling you something. What you get is the document they asked for. You will also be able to answer questions about the numbers in it because you supplied the inputs.
What if my state does something strange?
Licensing research runs per state. Every line in your checklist names the agency that issues the thing and links to where you confirm it. No person reviews your pack before it lands. That is exactly why we cite the issuing agency on every line instead of asking you to take our word for it. If a rule changed last month you find out in one click rather than at the counter.
I have been in the trade twenty years. Is this for me?
Yes. You will lean on a different half of it. If you already know the work and the market, the parts that earn their keep are the burdened-rate math, the pricing worksheets, the sales documents, and a weekly look at your numbers against a target. Plenty of people who are excellent at the trade have never once worked out what an hour of their own time costs after insurance, comp, the truck, and the hours nobody bills for.
How long does this really take?
About 25 minutes of questions. It saves as you go so you can stop and pick it up on your phone. After you submit, the pack is written in the background and lands in your dashboard the same day.
What if it comes out wrong?
If something comes out broken, a corrupted file, the wrong state, an error on our end, we regenerate the affected documents at no charge. Email hello@crewplaybook.com and a person reads it. The refund terms are on the terms page.
Twenty-five minutes of questions. You have spent longer bidding one job.

CrewPlaybook writes business planning and operations documents. It is not a law firm. It does not write legal documents and it does not give legal advice. Where a legal document is the right next step your pack says so and points you to an attorney licensed in your state.
